Does God Use Logic, Wisdom, Planning, Thinking, and Time in Creation?
The Quran describes Allah (God) as the All-Wise (Al-Hakeem), the All-Knowing (Al-‘Aleem), and the Best of Planners (Khairul Makireen). He does everything with absolute knowledge, wisdom, and perfection.
1. Allah Uses Supreme Logic and Wisdom
Allah's actions and commands are based on ultimate wisdom and logic:
- “Indeed, your Lord is Wise and Knowing.” (Quran 16:125)
- “And We did not create the heaven and the earth and all that is between them in play. We created them only in truth, but most of them do not know.” (Quran 44:38-39)
These verses confirm that Allah does not act randomly or without purpose; rather, everything is created with deep wisdom and logical reasoning.
2. Allah Plans and Designs Everything Perfectly
- “And they plan, but Allah plans. And Allah is the Best of Planners.” (Quran 8:30)
- “And the heaven, We constructed it with strength, and indeed, We are [its] expander.” (Quran 51:47)
Allah is the best planner (Al-Mudabbir), and everything in the universe follows a predetermined, flawless system.
3. Allah's Knowledge Encompasses Everything
- “Does He who created not know, while He is the Subtle, the Aware?” (Quran 67:14)
- “With Him are the keys of the unseen—none knows them except Him. And He knows what is on the land and in the sea. Not a leaf falls but that He knows it.” (Quran 6:59)
Allah does not need to "rethink" or "revise" because His knowledge is infinite, covering past, present, and future simultaneously.
4. Does Allah Take Time to Create?
- Allah creates instantly when He wills:
- “His command is only when He intends a thing that He says to it, ‘Be,’ and it is.” (Quran 36:82)
- But sometimes, creation follows a gradual process:
- “Indeed, your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and the earth in six days...” (Quran 7:54)
Allah does not need time, but He may use gradual processes for reasons of divine wisdom. The "six days" of creation are not because of limitation but a divine method of setting order and stages in creation.
5. Does Allah Replan or Reinvent?
Allah never makes mistakes, so He does not "replan" or "reinvent" like humans. His initial plan is already perfect:
- “The word of your Lord has been fulfilled in truth and in justice. None can change His words, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.” (Quran 6:115)
Everything Allah wills and decrees is already in perfect form from the beginning.
6. Optical Perception – Does Allah See?
Yes, Allah is All-Seeing (Al-Baseer):
- “Indeed, Allah is ever hearing and seeing.” (Quran 4:58)
- “He is with you wherever you are. And Allah sees what you do.” (Quran 57:4)
However, Allah's sight is not like human vision. He sees without limitations and beyond human perception.
Conclusion
- Allah uses absolute logic, wisdom, and planning.
- He does not need to rethink or reinvent, as His knowledge is infinite and flawless.
- He can create instantly or through stages based on His wisdom.
- He is All-Seeing, but His vision is not like human sight.
Everything in the universe follows Allah's perfect plan, and nothing is random or without wisdom.
